Old and Middle Irish and Welsh
Elementary Early Irish
The course will aim to provide students with a sufficient knowledge of Old and Middle Irish for them to be able to read published editions of standard texts on their own. The course will last over 11 sessions of two hours each over two semesters. Each session will consist of c. one hour devoted to grammar and linguistics, and a second devoted to explicating texts. The students will be expected to acquire the reading material listed below.

Medieval Welsh & Irish Literature
This course will explore common aspects of Medieval Welsh and Irish literature.
